A dark figure moved through the trees, damp fur hanging close to the ground, one sighless socket yawning into the night emptily as the other, red-blue eye looked about carefully, taking in every small detail. Truly frightening would describe the demoness well to any cute and cuddly animal, but to another of her type she was only a small bit mutilated. with a showing skull and sweveral old blood spurts. Yes, Demona had entered the Chaos.

Down hummed peacefully as she glided through the thick forest, deep in thought, feeling unusually alone. She was used to her life being busy, full to the brim with people to love and protect, jobs to do, and food to eat; but now, there was nothing. Had she made the right decision? Sighing deeply, she continued on, until she spotted something that made her stop dead in her tracks, perhaps almost shake in fear. A huge, demonic beast, with half her skull showing stood before the young Ghost Dog, who was lost for words. Very slowly, she floated her way towards the new creature, trying her best not to upset it, and said, "H-hello, what's your name?"

A tiny pup emerged from behind a large tree. It gasped and stepped back. Was it her mother? No... She didn't have that many scars apon her face. The pup sighed and licked off a drip of blood that was sliding down her cheek. That was her newest scar...

Down turned, noticing another creature, a pup, looking much like the other. Were they related? Mother and Child perhaps? She backed away, if this was the case, she could be in danger...But, no, the way the new pup looked at the other, it wasn't a love from child to parent, it was...more like fear. Feeling slightly better around herself, she approached both, and said to the smaller, "Hey, what's wrong?"

The large demoness nodded kindly to the young pup, trying to smile but looking more fierce instead. "Is there anything we can do to help?" The want to help shone through in the great beasts eyes, mismatching her appearance and personality terribly.

The ghostly dog sent a wide, and quite comical smile to the large creature, glad that she wished to help to - the last thing she needed was a fight. She moved in closer again to the pup, and nuzzle it slightly, trying to make it feel safe, and hoping she didn't just make it worse.

Ebalt gupled and backed away from the two of them slightly "Who are you?" she asked timidly, then noticed she sounded and looked scared. She coughed and stood up tall and boldly

"Demona." The demoness whispered huskily, oh how that name hurt her! But it fit so well . . . "Who are you young one?"

The black spirit smiled her clown-like smile again, and said to the pup, "I'm Down, it's nice to meet you." She hoped she had sounded calm and warm, but her ghostly presance often cursed whatever charm she put on. Very discretely, she turned her nose on, fighting away the darkness arond them, and looked up at the larger creature, waiting for the pup to say something.

Ebalt licked her dry lips "My name is..... er...." she gulped "Ebalt... the orphaned fighter" she said calmly, glancing at the ghost dog's bright nose. "Who are you?" she asked her quietly, smiling in wonder at the glow it let off.

Demona put on a strained smile for the youngling. 'Fighter'? . . . Being an adult Demona was nearly four times as big, so 'fighter' may not be appropriate . . . oh well. "Ebalt, is there anything we can do to help?"

"Not really. Not unless you have a happy home I join stay in." she sighed, thoughts of her beautiful mother's death entering her head. She held back her tears, but she knew if anything about how she got here was asked, she'd begin to cry straight away.

She watched, smiling slightly, but unsure why. She pitied this young one, she must have been through so much to have called herself, 'Fighter'. When the two demon dogs had stopped talking, she quietly introduced herself, "My name's Down, nice to meet you both..." Her voiced faded, and she wiated, eager to observe the two, rather than intervene.

Ebalt smiled gladly, and tried to steady her legs which were shaking from the memories. She sighed and coughed before carrying on. "I call myself a fighter because after my mother died, i had to go see my family split and my own brother die before me." she sighed "Since then ive been alone with a craving for the sound of someone's company... I think i may have found it... but..." she stopped speaking and smiled shyly at Down and Demona.

Her face fell as she listened to the poor pup's story, she no longer smiled, but frowned unhappily, a great pity growing in the pit of her stomach. She spoke, very quietly, "I'm so sorry, that sounds terrible." A small, warm smile entered her features, and she continued, "But of course, if it's company you want, you've got it!" Her long snout opened wider, and she smiled at the pup, the gleam in her eyes almost as bright as that of her nose.
