Rathin did not know it at the time. He did not know it until much later. He did not know until he was at the lagoon the he was in Chaos. When he realized it, he shuddered and worried that he had been over the border for almost the entire day. It was now growing dark, and the lagoon seemed darker and freakier then usual, but Rathin did not know that. He had heard of Chaos, he had known of it for almost as long as he could remember. The first thing he remembered was being alone with the name 'Rathin' rushing through his head, so he did not know of Chaos forever. He did not remember where he learned it either though. On the site of the lagoon Rathin was scared. He has not known that he had been traveling the way to Chaos. He just went the way his mind told him to. So, after a few minutes of fear, he realized that he was destined to go to Chaos, so he did not run back the way he came. Rathin's claws clinked softly as he walked toward the lake. There was no one around, so he lowered his head to the water for a drink. And though his reflection made him sick and unhappy, he did not take his eyes off of it. The blackness that surrounded his face seemed so normal, yet it hurt him so. After he was done drinking, he turned to look at the area around him, and as he did so, he felt them taring at the back of his mind again. Trying to gain control. Trying to bring him down. And as many times before, Rathin struggled to push them back. Once again, he must struggle.

A ghostly dog glided carelessly through the skies, in search of water. Her glowing nose had led her here, to the lagoon, where she could see she'd have all the water she could dream of. Immediatly, Down dived to the water's edge,. and lapped away, only stopping to breathe. It was only when she'd finished that she realised there was another creature there. A gasp escaped her long snout as she saw him, but she tried her best to suppress the shock, not wanting to be rude. Her voice was unnusually quiet in the large clearing, as she said, "Hello, a,are you ok?"

Rathin had watched the floating dog come forth, and he watched it drink the water. He realized that she hadn't seen him, so he waited for her to realized he was there. When she did see him, he could tell she was in shook, but whether from the way he looked, or the fact (if she was to somehow know) that he was struggling to keep his own mind under control, he did not know. He did not think her rude, but wise since many would rather stay away from Rathin, which sometimes was a good decision. When she asked the question he answered "I am as okay as light is when darkness falls." He said simply. It was nothing special for him that he was suffering. "It is nothing new though. I have been this way long, it has not changed, nor it ever will." he sighed and looked at her, trying to guess what she was thinking.

A shape moved along the dark waters. a strange light glowed around it like a lantern. As it reched the edge, it opened it's long mouth and began to pant. It did a small, yap in its almost 'misty' voice. He saw a scarred dog, body slightly limb and eyes dim and full of hurt. It was wearing blood-red bracelets and had scarlet horns and fangs. The creature gave a tiny smile and breathed "Are you okay?"

Rathin sighed at having two new others at the same place with him. He would rather be alone... He sighed again at the asking of the question he had just answered, but he did not wish to be rude and instead answered as he had before. "I am as okay as light is when darkness falls." He gave the new dog an odd sort of evilish smiled to go alone with his answer. Then he sighed a third time and waited for reply.

The white creature nodded sadly and the light faded from around him. "Asking why... would just make you sadder - I do not wish to know if you don't wish to tell." he remarked calmly, frosty voice echoing around the three of them. "And that is that." he added quietly, long ears flailing out behind him.

The ghostly dog sat, unable to say anything she was sure wouldn't hurt the poor creature, so she kept her wide mouth shut. Instead, she tried to focus on the new dog that had joined them, a ghost dog like her, but lighter, he almost had a aura of sorts. She smiled to herself with that clownish grin, and said, "I'm sorry, have we upset you?" She swallowed, and added, "Maybe we should go?" Her nose flicked on and off, lighting the area for a split second, then plunging them into darkness again. Without a second thought, she turned to the ghost to take in his features further, and asked the two, "What's your names?"

"Neither of you have pained me more then I already am, so do not worry yourselves." Rathin replyed to the two. "As for what happened..." He swollowed and closed his eyes. His feet shook, and could have easily fallen to the ground under his own weight, as he experianced the pain again. But was not as if it was the first time. It still hurt him. Hurt him more then any phycical ever could, but not as much as it used to. He used to pass out for days from it, sometimes even weeks. He did not open his eyes in the next second, but went to the next question. And without opening his eyes he answered "R-rathin" in a voice that was almost not his own, and had much of the pain he felt hidden in the words. Then, taking advantage of Rathin's few seconds of weakness, Grief tore through the wall that Rathin had suffered so much to keep together. It was not the first time this happened, nor would it be the last, but it was not a good thing to happen. Not one bit.

The white ghost nodded calmly, hoping this had not confused or worried Rathin. "You dont have to continue if you dont want to." he said slowly, nose pumkin glowing once again. "I know how misery and fright feels, I have exprerienced it often in my past times." he sighed, lying down on the cool ground

Down let the other Ghost talk to the beast, while she observed his actions. It was almost as if he was fighting something inside, something terrible. She pulled her head back in shock after he said his name, for he seemed to have been overcome by something, some kind of great sorrow. She moved closer, and nuzzled him wit her long snout slightly, attempting to comfort him, but knowing her feeble actions would have no affect. "Nice name" she muttered, and added, "Are you sure you're ok? You really don't look well..." Her voice trailed off, and she glanced at the other ghost dog again, wondering what his name was.
